"The Impeachment Post"

“THE IMPEACHMENT POST”

a.k.a. “THE WASHINGTON POST”

Over the past few months, “The Washington Post” morphed into an “Impeachment Post”, a real one-topic newspaper.

Virtually every single day, the headlines were about the impeachment process. And the tone was always the same: the Democrats are clinching their goal, Trump is increasingly vulnerable and weak, Trump is doomed, etc.

Every day there was a new witness thrashing the President, every single week there popped up a new report allegedly revealing endless new evidence against Donald Trump.

And all of this was not done with as much as a thin veneer of impartiality, since the “Impeachment Post”, its editors (???), its journalists (???) and its columnists did not even bother to disguise their glee, their euphoria, for the imminent destitution of Donald Trump.

Initially, I felt outraged with the blatant one-sided reporting, but then I felt that it was almost funny. These people were enjoying Trump’s premature doom, when it was obvious to me that the impeachment sham was going nowhere but the dust bin. The Democrats and the so-called liberals never swallowed Trump’s victory, going as far as trying to distort the function of the Electoral College, thus subverting the democratic process. And their hatred never ceased.

The political motivation of the impeachment and the Republican majority in the Senate convinced me that this would end up being a wild goose chase. And so it was. Donald Trump was fully acquitted. It is time to leave the presidential decisions for the ballot box.
